Every supplier found for the 8×8×4in magnetic closure box with ribbon, plus travel cases that hold travel sizes of all four SKUs. Prices, MOQs, minimum order costs, and links to investigate each one yourself.
Step-by-step order plan: Recommended path · full math: §04 · LBJ’s research, priced per box: §01c
All are magnetic-closure rigid/foldable boxes with ribbon. Prices are the lowest tier that fits the trial constraint where possible; click any supplier to investigate. Geotobox is the incumbent (LBJ's find); the rest are alternatives.

All in stock, ready to ship from Dallas, custom logo printing in-house from just 12 boxes, changeable grosgrain ribbon (slides in/out, swap colors). Prices are per unit at the 12-box minimum. The catch: none of these are 8×8×4in. The A5 Deep is the closest in depth; the rest are shallower or smaller.

LBJ went shopping herself (Aug 31) and hit two walls: retail box prices on Etsy ($10.56–14.00/unit) with shipping that rivals the box ($6.00–7.99 standard, $20–70 expedited), and a MADOVAR custom quote that lands at $26.50–30.00/box once the $350 freight is spread over 50 units. Her takeaway — “the shipping costs are outrageous… I think it’s going to be a loss” — is true for Etsy expedited. See section 04 for the full $250 math.

MADOVAR — email quote, Aug 28 | 50× 8×8×4in white rigid magnetic boxes, logo printed on lid | $19.50–23.00 (50-unit quote) | ≈ $350 freight · 3-week lead | $26.50–30.00 | Firm quote + timeline once logo file is sent; assumes single-location print, not foil |
Travel sizes: 10ml serum dropper, 15ml night cream jar, 15ml crème jar, 30ml lotion — roughly an 8×6×3in interior. The Flight Ritual Kit evaluation (Aug 19) budgeted a velvet pouch at $2.50–5.50/unit; a structured case is the upgrade. Reality check: every custom case manufacturer has MOQ ≥ 100, which blows the trial budget.

| EastPkg | Rigid magnetic kit box with CNC-cut EVA inserts cradling each travel bottle (box, not soft case) | Quote | 500–1000 | 500+ = quote | Full custom inserts | No |
| Westpack | Stock magnetic boxes (A5–XL) — not a case, but the only stock alternative near trial scale | $3.67–13.19 | 1+ | 5 = ~$18–25 | Selected lines | Fits (box, not case) |
Every scenario below is a real, orderable minimum — the smallest quantity each supplier will sell, at the price they actually list. Green = under $200. Amber = right at the line. Red = over.
Boxes: Geotobox is still the value answer. 25 ribbon boxes for $67.21, no MOQ, logo at 25 — the only supplier that clears the constraint with room to spare. If the exact 8×8×4 matters more than price, Metronic's 5-pack ($23.99) proves the size for under $25.
If the logo matters at trial scale, Gift Box Market is the only game in town — 12 boxes, in-house Dallas printing, changeable ribbon. But it costs ~3× per unit ($9 vs $2.83–3.32) and none of the white boxes match 8×8×4. The A5 Deep (9.25×6.7×3.93in, $108/12) is the closest fit for the travel set; the A6 Square ($108/12) is too small.
Travel case: defer it. No custom case fits the budget. Run the trial with the velvet pouch ($125 for 50) or a stock box, and put the custom case (Rivta, engineered to your bottles) into the full-launch budget where 500 units is the real order size anyway.
Combined trial (boxes + pouch): 25 Geotobox boxes ($67.21) + 50 velvet pouches ($125) = $192.21 — just under the line, everything in hand, nothing wasted. Swap in 12 GBM A5 Deep printed boxes ($108) + 50 pouches ($125) = $233 — over the line, but every box carries the Sonolusso logo.
Her worry: “when you take the cost of the boxes and the shipping into consideration when we’re charging, let’s say $250 for all four items… I think it’s going to be a loss.” Modeled against the confirmed landed cost basis — four SKUs at $128.94, a 20% ambassador commission ($50.00), a ~$13 outbound label, and ~2.9% + 30¢ platform fees ($7.55) — $199.49 of the $250 is committed before the box. That leaves $50.51 for the box. Two knobs make every number below better: at a 15% commission add $12.50 to each net; if the customer pays shipping, add ~$13.
One more thing: $250 is the number LBJ quoted — the approved Ritual Set price is $425. At $425 the same waterfall commits $239.56, leaving $185.44 for the box, and every route in the table below turns green: wholesale nets +$182.60 (+43%), her Etsy finds at standard shipping net +$165, and even the worst case — Etsy Priority Express freight — still nets +$101 (+24%). The table below shows the $250 scenario because that’s the number she asked about; the conclusion holds at both prices, and at $425 it isn’t close.
| Box route | Cost / box | Net on $250 | Margin | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Geotobox 8×8×5 w/ ribbon — 25-box tier | $2.83 | +$47.68 | +19.1% | Healthy |
| Gift Box Market A5 Deep, logo printed — 12-box MOQ | $9.00 | +$41.51 | +16.6% | Healthy |
| Etsy logo box + standard shipping | $18.55 | +$31.96 | +12.8% | Survives — but 6× overpay |
| Etsy magnetic box + standard shipping | $20.00 | +$30.51 | +12.2% | Survives — but 7× overpay |
| MADOVAR 50-unit quote, freight amortized — low | $26.50 | +$24.01 | +9.6% | Thin margin, capital heavy |
| MADOVAR 50-unit quote, freight amortized — high | $30.00 | +$20.51 | +8.2% | Thin margin, capital heavy |
| Etsy + Standard Express shipping — low end | $34.00 | +$16.51 | +6.6% | Barely worth doing |
| Etsy + Priority Express shipping — high end | $84.00 | −$33.49 | -13.4% | A loss — as she feared |
Her instinct is right about Etsy and right about express shipping, but wrong about the bundle. At $250 with a $2.83 wholesale box, the bundle nets $47.68 (+19.1%) after product, commission, shipping, and fees. Even her own Etsy finds at standard shipping clear +12.2–12.8%. The only genuine loss is paying Etsy’s $50–70 expedited freight on a box — $34–84 per box — which nobody should do for a box ordered ahead of demand.
The MADOVAR quote isn’t the escape either — $26.50–30.00/box keeps a thin margin, but $1,325–1,500 up front for 50 boxes plus a 3-week lead is a scale decision, not a trial one.
Recommendation: wholesale box — Geotobox at the 25-box tier ($2.83/box) — or Gift Box Market’s A5 Deep at 12 boxes if the logo on the lid matters ($9/box, +16.6%) — with standard shipping, never expedited. If she wants more cushion on the four-item bundle: price it $265–275, or charge shipping separately.
One decision for LBJ, one order this week, and two things to deliberately not do yet. This is the agency’s recommendation — every number traces back to the sections above.
